Which penn state player do you feel we didn't tap the potential on?

Michael Robinson...only one year as qb? He showed he was a special talent and multiple years of development could have been scary.

I can't disagree with either Robinson or Wake; although Wake has a significant injury that I think hampered him for a couple of years after that Miami game.

Rashard Casey...had a lot of mobility and strong arm. Got starting job late and forced to stay in pocket.

Jon Crispin. Or at least that's what he thought.

Pat Devlin (LOL, the devil made me do it.....I know the "long-timers" might appreciate that one)
and, of course.....
The Sasquatch......Tim Johnson, LB out of NJ. remember him?

As a serious reply, I would have to go with Rashard Casey.

I liked the Quarless mention. I always thought that having a tight end as big as he was would just rule the middle of the field if he was any kind of route runner and there was a QB that could get him the ball. In that respect, you could also say the same for Jesse James and Kyle Carter now. PSU has had a number of tall tight ends but for whatever reason, working that part of the offense hasn't been in vogue other than when O'Brien was here.

I'd also make an argument for Austin Scott. Yes, his problems were self-inflicting but we saw in the Orange Bowl what kind of runner he could be and it's a shame that he wasn't able to live up to even 70% of the vast potential he showed in HS.

When did he play? Name rings a bell was he a tight end or receiver

2000-2004. TE. 6'7 or so. Really "bulked up" if you know what I mean when he was signed by the steelers as a free agent. Didn't make it out of camp.

Quarless was his own victim (IMO). The guy would show flashes of brilliance, but way too much half-assing. It seemed Joe felt the same way.

Probably one of the most frustrating players I've watched in my 30 years of PSU football. Then again not sure how you could ever live up to the "God's Gift" tattoo on his arms.

Kenny Watson. Kenny was versatile, playing tailback, wide receiver, & kick returner (for which he is best remembered). In the pros he averaged 4.6 yards per carry on 358 carries. That tells me he could have been an outstanding college back had he been allowed to fully develop at that postion.

Had he come along after MRob, Rashard would have been mentioned with PSU greats. We just weren't committed to the spread in the late 90's.

Tight end. 6' 7" 260 who allegedly ran in the 4.65 area . He was a little used weapon during a period when Penn State had very few weapons. Played in the 02',03', 04' time frame , I think. ---got drafted, but only played a couple of years.

Thanks. I remember now

Navorro Bowman. He did well in college, but he may have been the best linebacker in the nfl when he got injurred over a year ago. Not even Lavar reached that level of avhievement.
