They certainly do not want Trump to have an ally as AG as strong as Obama did. Nothing weaker than a subpoena from the House. It has taken two years to get FBI files from a Republican DOJ sent to a Republican House. Also, if you think you may incriminate yourself in a future court case you can just say no thank you. The House subpoena is kind of a joke and always has been.
