1. How much $ will be available for PSU players in 2025 and how is that determined?
2. Does it place any limits on NIL? If not, schools with rich, stupid, alums could eveventually reach $100,000,000+.
3. How will it effect schools who lose $? Must they still share revenue?
4, Are FCS and divisi I ns I and II included?
5. Will PSU raise ticket prices to cover $ given to player's?
6. Do all sports get revenue sharing?
7. I think that I read that only fb and bb make money. It will take big bucks to keep volleyball and wrestlers.
8. I have changed my opinion about RS. It seems a very good way for a kid to start his adult life with a nestegg. Old parts like me remember when Joe turned down $60,000/ yr to coach thr NY Giants.

Here is the gist of it.

For your ?s:

1. $20.5 is the current estimate available for ALL PSU athletes. It's a formula off the money that is brought in, article might outline it better.

2. No. NIL cannot have limits under its current form. Yes, if you got a rich alum/donor who desires to throw money at this, they can and will.

3. I think the revenue sharing is optional. Just because PSU has $20 million +/- doesn't mean they will use it all.

4. Maybe, but I'm not sure. I would guess that theirs would be significantly lower if so because they don't have massive TV deals.

5. Probably going to raise them regardless between stadium upgrades and typical inflation.

6. Yes, but it comes from the same pot as far as I understand it. Again, I could be wrong.

7. Typically, yes, those are the only college sports that generate more revenue than expenses. It varies school to school.

8. Not sure what RS is, but maybe I'm brain farting. I thought it was New England Joe turned down?

Believe Revenue Sharing is capped at $20.5 million by the Conference. The percentage required to get to that number depends on Gross Revenues which differs per program. PSU brings in quite a bit of Revenue, so the percentage they need to use to get to the cap is lower than most in b2g....

Joe apparently turned down the Steelers in 69. He would’ve been paid around 700k in today’s money by the Steelers. He recieved a raise from PSU from around 225k to like 340k to stay (todays money)

The patriots were the big money offer that also included some percentage of ownership that would be like 100 million today. I think his total contract was reported to be 1.2 million for 5 years.

My guess is that football will get $15 of the $20 million used to pay players directly. The question is how they distribute it. If Allar, DDS, King, & Allen each get $2 million that leaves only $7 million for the remaining 101 players.
