I was sitting here wondering who was better at projecting rankings/seeds/finishes at NCAA's this year. I log on to FLO and see that they provided all the data I need to answer the question. So......after crunching the numbers and crushing some Merlot.....Here are the results:

1. 44 of the 80 wrestlers were ranked identically by FLO and the Seeding Committee so they don't need to be included in the comparison.

2. FLO was exact on 19 of the 80 wrestlers while the Seeding committee was exact on 18 wrestlers

3. Only 10 wrestlers had a ranking and seeding difference of more than 2 spots when comparing FLO and the committee. They are listed by Name then FLO ranking then Committee Seeds and finally NCAA placement

Montorie Bridges 5--8--8
Nick Lee 11--8--5
Chad Red 14--17+--7 Red wasn't seeded.....had to be 17 or higher
Matt Kolodzik 7--11--3
Ty Berger 12--8--3
Josh Shields 7--4--7
Evan Wick 10--6--3
Max Dean 13--9--8
Kollin Moore 5--1--4
Willie Miklus 2--6--8

As you can see....FLO was better at 4 of these 10. But..............what about the other 26 wrestlers? When you put all 36 in the calculations......the final results are: Using the 36 wrestlers they didn't agree on...... FLO missed the final placements by an average of 1.35 spots...........while the seeding committee missed their final placements by an average 1.19 spots. So.....if we have to declare a "Winner" it would go to the Seeding Committee this year. BUT.....to me....the biggest takeaway is how really accurate they both were. We can nit-pick about one here or there but both were really impressive. SPECIAL THANKS to FLO for all the great info you provide! I will be a life-long subscriber.

PS: In case you are wondering.....for FLO to come out on top.....the seeding committee would have to have Chad Red "seeded" dead last....ie 33rd
