Accuweather is predicting a 47 degree high and rain. Who does this favor?

PSU and OSU have very similar teams, with similar styles and schemes. Barkley likes to make quick cuts while Dobbins likes to hit the hole fast and plow through--advantage Dobbins? McSorley is a better passer than Barrett and despite conventional wisdom, rain actually favors the better passing team (defensive backs slip more when changing direction unexpectedly, while receivers know exactly where they're going), not to mention that Barrett may slip more when trying to scramble--advantage McSorley? Our kicking game has already been bad, now add rain--advantage OSU kicking? The crowd may be grumpy or not show up in full force if cold and wet--advantage PSU?

I really have no idea.

47 degrees is not cold unless you were born after 1960.;)

Cold and wet.... Don’t know whom it favors on the field, but it sucks for the fans sitting in the stands.

Paying ANY attention to predictions of the weather conditions 116 Hours prior to kickoff is a complete waste of time.

Exactly. IIRC the forecast for the Northwestern game could have sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald but we all know how that turned out. Both teams have to deal with it. It will be what it will be.

Yeah, they were comparing the NW prediction to the Navy game from the early 1970s. Missed it by THAT much.

So accuweather really says 53 degrees with a little rain something like 2 hours of rain. It doesn't say what 2 hours of the 24 it will shower.

Favors PSU big time. Trace is a far better passer. JT is a wide open receiver type of passer. If OSU can't throw, they're doomed.

If it's nasty enough it could take the crowd out of the game somewhat, especially if PSU were to take an early lead.

Agree. Been to many games. When it's cold, rainy and miserable fans tend to worry more about staying dry and warm, then they do about being loud.
