On a scale of 1 to 10, her level of regret for taking the Pitt AD job has to be about 22. Good news for her though is that a great opportunity for a lateral move just became available as Northwest Rhode Island Community College AD position was just posted on LinkedIn as NWRICC just elevated their athletic department by adding bowling to their badminton team to double their intercollegiate sports portfolio.

She had to have known what she was getting into. As Millen would say, that's on her.

I wouldn't feel sorry for a Pitt person if they got run over by a bus!

I feel sorry for her. My ire is directed at The Liar's and their ilk. I'm sure Pitt has some great fans who don't deserve the mess w/ basketball.

They just added “dumpster fire” to the dictionary...I looked it up and it says “see Pitt athletics”.

How lucky are we to have Sandy?

I don’t really see a problem with Sandy. I think she would have fired Chambers if he finished in the bottom half of the league again. Her attendance at the game today was somewhat ominous for Pat as well. Good for him that he won.

I think if she wasn't present it would have been more ominous.

I get that people want him gone, but maybe people should be careful about what they wish for. Look at what happened at Pitt, for example.
I think there was little chance he was going anywhere before and now there’s no way.

What could be worse than no tourny bids in 7 years?

Her attendance at today's game? What the hell else does she have to do? Oh, I forgot about hiring more AADs and figuring how to walk back the facilities master plan.

I DUnno maybe multiple players getting suspended, respected coaches hurling allegations at your program, creating an easy schedule then completely blowing it, inability to build momentum for recruiting?

Pitt just released every single player from their scholarships today. They now have no coach, and no players. I'd say that is worse than what we have.

I agree the Pitt program wont be winning much the next 2-3 years if any. But could still make a solid hire, just probably wont be a splash one.

FLAG!

Yes, actually they were quite close to this in 2003.

Except 2001 was a great year for basketball, and 2002 was a great year for football (could have been better if it wasn't for those referines). Pitt hasn't had a great season in either in a LONG time.

Yeah but I wasn't talking about 2001, or football, although I should have clarified that.

PSU basketball in 2003 was the absolute bottom. Dunn pulled out a couple of conference wins late, but it was essentially the same as a zero win season.

A couple wins is not the same as 0 wins.
