He is great at LBer, a monster. He seems like a one trick pony at DE. I wish that the staff would move him back. The NFL can figure out what his best position is once he gets there.
He will absolutely kill it at the combine and that's the thing that will matter most.He is great at LBer, a monster. He seems like a one trick pony at DE. I wish that the staff would move him back. The NFL can figure out what his best position is once he gets there.
Pro money is at the edge. He's not a fool.He is great at LBer, a monster. He seems like a one trick pony at DE. I wish that the staff would move him back. The NFL can figure out what his best position is once he gets there.

1st of all, pash rushers make the $ in the NFL. Run stopping LB’s are among the lowest paid, and therefore, least valuable players on the defense. He is great at LBer, a monster. He’s listed as the same size as Parsons but he looks smaller.1st of all, pash rushers make the $ in the NFL. Run stopping LB’s are among the lowest paid, and therefore, least valuable players on the defense.
Carter is not and doubt ever will serviceable at pass coverage at LB either. He’s a perfect 3-4 pass rushing OLB. Agree, likely not the best fit as a hand in the ground every play DE. He’s a pass rusher.
I agree about the offside but if he wasn't for the team he wouldn't have even been running down the field on the pick. The Illini player had no shot at him...why throw a blockI'm tired of the Abdul jumping offside. Also, if he was a team guy he would've looked back in the interception return and blocked the guy before the other db blocked in the back. He like many others are more interested in running beside the guy and celebrating prematurely than actually making sure there is a TD.

I have no idea but it appears to me as a fan that playing him @ LBer gives him more opportunity to disrupt the offenses. He is great at LBer, a monster. He seems like a one trick pony at DE. Who will be your other DE? You did not cover that little detail. He is great at LBer, a monster. He seems like a one trick pony at DE. I wish that the staff would move him back. The NFL can figure out what his best position is once he gets there.
If Zane Durant can play like he did vs Illinois and get pressure right up the middle then we are free to use Carter as a rover just ball hawking and letting his athleticism control the game. We need DDS to step up on the edge and we will wreak havoc on opposing offenses and hopefully make life for Miller Moss miserable (like that alliteration?).Carter has been incredible.
When he lines up at DE, he gets double and triple teamed EVERY time. I understand we need him for depth at LB, but it also allows him to get into space and use his instincts. The spy scenario was genius as well. We can generate pass rush without him so let the line generate rush and he can pounce when the QB steps up. I actually wish Parsons was used this way at PSU.
He’s the star of the defense night after night. Immediately following the success of Parsons too. We’re cementing ourselves as EDGE U.
