All the 149 chatter as if we didn’t know our situation going in has me feeling like we should be counting our blessings more.

I voted for Berge. Darn impressive comeback. Threw Seth a bone too. Don’t think the team points took any hit at all with him as the starter this weekend. AB may have jumped levels if he can reliably start getting 4 pointers on top.

just a reminder, many of these matches are on YouTube a day after.

Aaron, then Seth.

Aaron for his complete and utter dominance.

Seth for what seems like a change in mindset. Seems to be much more offensive.

Maybe @pawrestlersintn can assess which wrestler out performed his KYPSW predictions.

I think these insights would be interesting to compare against the poll results. Maybe even the assessment could become a regular contribution to this kind of thread.

I voted for Seth, because he delivered and made the most of his opportunity in the lineup. I don't know whether his attitude changed, because he similarly destroyed the Rutgers and MD 285lbers last year. I am looking forward to seeing Seth against some of the better B10 285lbers, or a rematch against Gas Tank Gary (or whomever starts for tOSU).

I voted Seth. WHile it is tough to tell vs the competition, he looked bigger and quicker than last year and no linger impact from whatever was ailing him last year after OSU.

Aaron > Seth > Nick in that order all shined in both matches. You have to love the consistency and aggression most of all. I guess with Nick we are coming to expect it so that is probably what affected the polling.

I have to go with Seth. I haven't seen him look for his attacks like that in any previous showings even when he had an opponent over matched. Brooks looks amazing but I guess I expected that based on his already demonstrated skill set and Cael saying he had jumped levels. I'm just so happy to see Berge getting to compete!

Others have suggested this type of thing in the past. I'll tell you the same thing I've told them: Thanks for volunteering to do that. :p

Brooks did look good as EXPECTED. I also EXPECTED Seth to hammer guys with 1-28 and 7-32 career records.Berge looked like he’s right on track.

I voted AB and Seth. Seth for the reasons others have mentioned above. Aaron because he continually proves his dad right when John stops by to give the board an "all is well" post. Plus it just brightens my spirits to see smiling Aaron on the mat. Kind of like a burst of sunshine breaking through a dark winter stretch.

Seth. Looks like he re-shaped his whole body. No fat, better speed.

Yeah 276 lbs of pure muscle? I will admit he was quite impressive, genuinely catlike, and had a nice gas tank, but reshaped his body, no fat? Maybe my cast from my phone to the widescreen had the wrong aspect ratio set.

Based on how Hillger has looked this year (losses to Luffman and Lance), if Seth is a podium caliber guy, he should beat him (granted not the be all/end all if he doesn't either obviously just coming back from a hiatus)

I hope that Seth is as aggressive against Hillger as he was against his opponents Saturday. If he is, he wins with little doubt in my mind. That's a Whole Lotta Rosie coming at you!

That Starocci Washington match reminded me of the NCAA semifinal match between Seth Gross and Tariq Wilson. Seth had absolutely no answer for Wilsons length and Wilson scored at will for most of the match before Seth pulled it out in overtime. Starocci wins easy next time they meet.

Actually pa, the way I do my spreadsheet, this would be an easy element to pick up. I kept adding features while I was doing the scoring years ago...so if I understand the request above, I can do a little ditty after each dual or so.

Seth may be California’s leading career pinner, and pretty sure he pinned everyone his senior year. Do you think he could have pinned these giys and didnt, just to get some mat time?
Reminder, these guys were 1-28 and 7-32. Thats 1 win in 29 tries guys.
I agree Seth looked crisp and was great to see him go HARD for 7 minutes each but cmon folks,Duece coulda (and probably has)beat these bums, and Hillger is a stout boy, he wont flop around like those two.
