A large portion of these refugees probably don't speak English or come with much cash. That means somebody will be providing food, housing, healthcare, education, etc. Are states like Pennsylvania eager to accept refugees because they get funding from the federal government?
I think refugees are given green cards and become eligible to apply for citizenship. I assume a large percentage remain on some sort of public assistance after they become citizens since they start our w/o money or language skills. Is this wrong?
