Who off this team is getting drafted?

Amani maybe late 1st to 2nd round pick because he is a big cb with ball skills other then this i dont see anyone else unless some team takes a flier on Trace in later rounds.

2019 sorry.I agree 21

McSorley probably shouldn't but might get drafted late. As much as he's fairly criticized here I wouldn't be shocked if someone took Koa Farmer late. Sanders & Miller get drafted if they enter the draft. Chasz Wright is in the same boat as Farmer.

You just don't know. Did anyone really think Troy Apke would go in the fourth round in November of last year? We're going to have kids that test very well.

I don't believe talent is a problem but, if it is, that's on the staff as these are the kids they recruited and have coached

I'd be surprised if Trace gets drafted, and shocked if Farmer does.
Amani and Bates (think he comes out) - think that is it

Don't be shocked if Farmer has an amazing pro day and some DC/LB coach thinks they can fix him because they're desperately trying to find a LB that can run with a TE. I think he's been awful but the draft, especially late rounds, are about trying to find that hidden gem.

I don't think Trace should be drafted but a lot of QBs I don't think should be drafted are.

Bates? Maybe but not really seeing that. Miller & Sanders make the most sense of the underclassmen

Farmer?

Words fail

Yes. he's been awful. He shouldn't be drafted. His pro day is going to impress someone who might ignore the tape and take a shot on him. I don't think he should be drafted just like Trace shouldn't be drafted but I won't be shocked if both go late. Will they make a team is a different question

what do you think he is going to do on his pro day?
he isn't fast anymore

In fairness to Bates he is a guard playing LT. When he played guard he was on his way to being a really good player. It's crazy, but for as bad as the offense has played this year they are a few plays away from being a one loss team. On the other hand they are also a few plays away from having five losses. I know the coaches can't make catches for the WR's, but the offensive game planning is abysmal. Have we seen a jet sweep since the Pitt game? I mean it only went for a TD.

I think he'll destroy the short shuttle, broad jump & vertical jump. I think our training program preps guys for that. I also think he'll look great in the back pedal and back pedal/react drills for LBs. I could be wrong but I think he's one of those kids that will make a coach second guess what he saw on film.

The NFL teams probably end up watching film of every CFB play of players they get serious about because of their Combine results. Unfortunately Farmer has A LOT of bad bad film.

Mike Mamula

He was drafted 5 spots before Warren Sapp if I remember correctly. You think GMs and coaches would learn.
Actually that wasn't the biggest issue
From a Wiki....
he Philadelphia Eagles traded their first-round draft pick (12th overall), and two second-round selections to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for Tampa Bay's first-round draft pick (7th overall) and a third-round selection. All picks involved in this trade were in the 1995 NFL Draft. The Eagles then selected Mamula, apparently hoping he would fill the void left by Reggie White two years earlier. The Buccaneers went on to draft Warren Sapp with the 12th pick, and traded the pair of second-round picks for the 28th overall pick in the same draft, which they used to get Derrick Brooks. Essentially, the Eagles passed up on two Hall of Famers for Mamula.

There must be nfl quality upperclassmen all over the roster. According to everything I’ve been reading the past month we should have been on a 29 game winning streak if not for coaching incompetence.

i think the coaching staff needs to be improved, but what are they working with?

there are a number of seniors (some with an additional year like Bates, Miller and JJ) who can leave with a degree - been here 4 years. many will perform very well at a pro day or combine. not sure we have any 3 year guys that fit the mold.

it will come down to how they are evaluated and perform at combine and pro days. take a guy like Thompkins - he will show up very well at a pro day. we will get a lot of guys who may not be drafted but get UFA deals.

Pure speculation.

I think IF Trace had declared for the draft after last season I think he might have been a late round draft choice and maybe make a practice squad.

BUT based on his play so far this year, it’s hard to imagine he’d get more than a few days as a free agent.

That said, I HOPE he proves me totally wrong.....for the next four games AND the draft and an NFL career.

Farmer isn’t fast anymore, at least football fast, and he’s slow ro react.

This time next year Trace will be an Assistant Coach at some lower division college. Five years from now he will be an Assistant Coach at a major college. Fifteen years from now Trace will be a head coach at a major college. That is his career path.

They're working with who they recruited. If that's not good enough, whose fault is that??

Yeah, the whole 25 days Franklin had to recruit before his first signing day at Penn State in 2014. Do you possess any critical thinking skills or do you just Mr Magoo your way through life?

Trace will be an accountant. That’s his major and he has a strong academic record.

I don't see him as a head coach or even a coach at any level above high school but if that's what he wants best of luck to him.

That said, I think he's going to try to get into broadcasting which I don't think is a great fit based on his interviews. Amani Oruwariye and Nick Scott were much more impressive at the Big Ten media day. Of course AO will be playing on Sundays next year.

Not sure why you don't consider Trace as a potential college coach?

He's a hard worker, a leader, and a winner.

Trace is a good kid so I don't want to say anything negative about him but I don't completely agree with your assessment of his attributes.

Now that is interesting, two Hall of Famers for Mike Mamula that was a pretty bad trade.
