Thinking of going but I'm not that familiar with Indianapolis. Have generally passed by it except the time a drunk driver hit us and we ended up at Methodist Hospital. It doesn't look like getting tickets would be a problem, but I don't want to spend a ton of money (i.e. $300/night and up on a hotel) so I'd like to stay somewhere on the west side or even along I-74 somewhere. I'm not there to party or sight see. I will have my teen-aged sons with me so I just want to watch the game and get out. I would be coming in from the West on I-74 to I-70 most likely. My ideal would be to park/stay somewhere outside of downtown and take a bus/shuttle in. Some type of park-and-ride thing if they have it. Does anyone have suggestions?

So much for that. I'll be at the Crowne Plaza next to the stadium.

I used Bing Maps for some reason (normally use Google Maps) and it has a 3D flyover feature. Very cool. Much better than trying to visualize where things are in relation to the stadium.

The Crowne Plaza is in a great location obviously. We stayed there in 2016. We're staying at the Staybridge Suites. It's also close to the stadium and an easy walk to the bars and restaurants. Indy is a great town for these events.

Indy is a great city to host events like Big 10 championship. Lots of hotels near stadium......you can drive and tailgate outside, or go to a bar/restaraunt and party before the game.....safe city. Had a blast at last Big 10 championship. Favorite play was Saquon beating an OLB for Wisconsin for a TD.....TJ Watt. I knew then that Watt could never play in the NFL.

Driving 6 hours Saturday morning from Ohio. Picking up my son at Miami if OH. Getting in around 2pm then going to eat and drink about 1/2 mile from Stadium. I used Marriott points to stay near stadium. Wasn’t about to drop $400-$700 for one night. We are sitting about the 40 yard line in PSU section. Can’t wait! I feel we have a chance to win this one.

What part of Ohio? We're pulling out of Zanesville in the am.

Flying in from Philly Saturday afternoon. Weather looks good so hopefully no delays. Staying at hotel near IND, same one we stayed at for Purdue game last month. Only regret is buying tix thru the athletic department. Looks like I could have found cheaper tix on the secondary market with all of the buckeye fans trying to unload theirs. Flying home Sunday morning, literally will only be on the ground in Indy for about 16 hours. I hope to have a huge smile on my face for the flight home.

At least you'll be in the Penn State section for sure.

Leaving from Chagrin Falls but need to pick son up first at Miami of OH then heading to Indy! I hope all of you have a safe trip out and can’t wait for the game!
Long drive for you. You"ll be driving southwest in OH to Miami out in the country, then northwest to Indy.
