Miller for sure.
McGovern maybe.
Sanders projected as 4th or 5th rounder, but RB pool is low this year, so he may go. Can he improve his stock by staying?

If he mentioned anybody else, I missed it.

Ya never know - and all it takes is one team out of 32 to fall in love with a particular player.....

But I’ve never been able to reconcile the “McGovern leaving early” thing (from a football perspective that is - I have no idea what specific issues he may have).
If I had to rate the PSU starting 5 offensive linemen, I don’t think I could put McGovern any higher than 4th (behind Bates, Gonzo, and Menet..... maybe close w Menet, but if I had to, I’d go w Menet)

And McG is also just a true 3rd year guy.

I guess his versatility of being able to play both OG and OC would help, and I have no idea how deep the draft class is for interior OL, but that one has always made me SMH. I would think he is the standard for a “guy who should come back for another year”.

not many OL go after 3 yrs. Miller would be skipping 5th yr so could see him going. Sanders seems likely if he gets rd 3 or better.

is Benny Snell going?

Snell declared yesterday, but it was a foregone conclusion. I think Sanders is better, though.

I think Bates is gone. Mom was crying at the last game, teammates were congratulating him like he was gone.

McGovern, Miller, Bates, Sanders I think are gone. I think Sanders is making a mistake. His ball security issues are a big red flag. Come back and show that is taken care of and he'll go much higher the following draft.

Phil says, Harrison to the Bucks!
Zach Harrison to OSU ? Many sources have him as a silent to Michigan. He'll join an already loaded 2019 Michigan class. OSU is on their way down. Both Michigan and PSU will pass them in the next couple of years. OSU is a dying program without Meyer. RIP OSU

And Michigan still won’t beat them.

Is this a prediction or a prayer?

Not sure about Benny Snell. Benny Hill, sadly, is already gone though. He was funny too.
Not technically a violation, but a picture of Benny Hill and a few friends seems appropriate.

NEXT MAN UP!!! That is what these coaches get paid to do in prepare the next person in line to play at the highest level they can, if we want to be elite these are things we will have to go through with better talent across the board.

I think they all are making a mistake, everyone in that list, imo would improve as football players with another year. If they do that, they will improve their draft positions and make more money in the long run. Everybody wants to get to the second contract, but you have to prove you can play to get to a second contract that is better than the first.

What if their financial situations don't give them the luxury of waiting things out for another year to maybe, potentially do better in the long run?

IIRC its called defered gratification. Their financial situations, most likely are going to change in 1 year, one way or another, their school is paid for, they get a cost of living stipend, for most, their lives could not be better.
Stay improve you game, get drafted higher, and hope you have along career.

If we end up signing Noah Cain along with Ford I think Sanders will go.
Miller I would love to see come back but I get why he would go.
McGovern, IMO, needs to come back. I didn't think he had a very good year.

Completely agree.
When they switched him back to guard this season I thought it was a good idea but about Oct. I was thinking it was a mistake and he should have stayed at center.
I'm with you I just don't think he had a very good year.

I don’T blame Shareef if he leaves. But, the DL class is stacked in this draft. Risking injury if he comes back, but could greatly enhance his draft position

Eh, I would tell them that they should all go. Anytime a kid “needs one more year” to work on some thing - why not turn pro and get paid to work on whatever weaknesses there are?

Sanders, for example, is never going to get a 1-2 round grade so why not go now and start getting paid?

McGovern struggled at times this year and he is pretty young in OL years so I could see an extra year of college helping his stock.

McGovern's young for his position and it definitely wouldn't hurt him to come back, but he's also at a position that (unless you're Quenton Nelson) isn't really valued too highly at the draft level. If he really is projected to be the #1 interior lineman off the board, what's the point in staying another year? You can't really do too much better than that.

You believe that Sanders will base his NFL decision based upon what RB's are in the 2019 recruiting class. That's absurd.

I will never question a RB turning pro earlier then one would think they probably have the shortest shelf life of any position in the league.

Yes I believe that. No need for you to be an ass in your response.

Because my opinion is that your "logic" is absurd makes me an "ass"?

Nope. Your "logic" is absurd. An opinion. Just like yours....

and I didn't say it was "logic" just MO.

No, I said "logic".

Trying to put a cause and effect between a talented 3rd year college football player and the decision he will make on whether to leave college and go to the NFL or say in college, and who his team happens to recruit that may or may not even play as a true freshman during what would be that players potential Senior year is absurd. My opinion. You obviously don't have to agree or like it. But name calling makes you look childish.

If you are a guy who has no degree, and you "think" you are gonna get drafted so you quit college and then dont get drafted, then yeah, you made a mistake, especially if staying in school might have improved your chances.

There are some folks whose financial situation is so dire that they cannot stay and have to take a long shot chance. CFB should be helping those guys. Instead a hundred and six guy come out, and only 2 thirds get drafted. The rest go into life with no degree.

From a strictly fb point of view, you can also make a mistake if you have your degree, but still have eligibility that you could use to become a better player. That is a harder thing to judge.

But they have at a minimum three years job free college under their belts. A college degree is attainable if they should so choose to get it.

I don’t understand what your saying here either. Are you saying you think Sanders will go pro because he’s worried about losing his starting spot to Ford or Cain?

"Job free college?" Maybe if you dont count all the hours of practice and conditioning and meetings...

Weird. I’m riding the exercise bike and didn’t take time to proofread that post. Should have said, “three years of free college”. My apologies.
