Who's on upset Alert this weekend?

So when The (Other) OSU beats Pitt is that an upset?

Starting out 0-3 MIGHT eliminate Pitt from playing 'Bama in the semi-final's of the CFB NATIONAL INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT!

Clemson is only favored by 3 or 3.5 so that could happen. I can't see Pitt beating Okie St., the Stanford one could be interesting. How about Memphis in a nooner at home against UCLA?

The Kelly Bryant love-fest has got me shaking my head. So far I've seen the kid take the snap look around and then run half the time, and the other half of the time throw up lob passes to the sideline and hope for interference, and the analysts have him on a par with John Elway.

Clemson is going down this Saturday night. I don't care if that's the Steel Curtain front four: At some point, Jackson is either getting loose or finding someone open, and 21 points is all it's going to take to beat Clemson.

You may be right but Louisville's D is really awful. So I expect the Ville to get and give some points, even though Clemson has a great D and a subpar O. It may be a 24-21 type game.

I watched the Ville closely - they were in town here (Chapel Hill) last week.

I heard on twitter that nardoosh and spitt are so angry about the akron comparison that they plan to let okie state blow their doors in (like 72-3) to prove we suck. Afterwards coaches and players are going to rave about how impressive okst was... especially when they used the rutgers of pennsylvania (TROPA...us) as a barometer.

"Man, after playing TROPA we thought we could hang with the big boys... wow, this was like our boys playing against men. Now we know what elite talent really looks like and it will help our program improve."

Watch for it. Twitter all atwitter.... ;)

I've got Michigan on upset alert this weekend. I don't have a reason. Desmond Howard had Penn State on upset alert last week and HE didn't have a reason either. Watch the replay.

If Mush Mouf doesn't need a reason, neither does Bisbee Mike.

In the Big10: Illinois beats S. Florida and BYU defeats Wisconsin
I will be routing for Texas but since it is in LA USC wins.

Stanford lost to USC which looked fairly pedestrian in week one vs a directional michy team. Verdict is still out on the Cardinal IMO.

The 'Furd lost not only McCaffrey but some quality linemen, Solomon Thomas (No. 3 overall pick) among them. Rocky Long is really making strides in building that SDSU program. The Aztecs lost Donnell Pumphrey, but they have a new running back, Rashaad Penny, who has over 400 yards rushing in their first two games. UC Davis and Arizona State are not powerhouse programs, but SDSU nonetheless looks like it could upset the 'Furd if they are not playing their "A" game. The Aztecs get the 'Furd at home - Qualcomm Stadium.

My three Top25 possibility upsets:
Mississippi State over LSU
Vanderbilt over Kansas State
San Diego State over Stanford

Agreed...especially the Vandy game. I really feel they have a decent shot in this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pitt keeps it closer than expected but doubt they can out score OKST

FYI, tickets are available for Pitt-Okie State for $18 on stub hub.

A top ten opponent is in town and you can get tickets for less than $20. Sad.

I guess the opera is in town.

ahhh...stub hub...where an $18 ticket turns into a $50 ticket after their mysterious fees.

Good call. Air Force my call too
It's the one team that Michigan plays, other than PSU and Ohio State, that has a chance to dictate what Michigan does defensively, rather than vice-versa. Only 5 teams in the nation that you can play that are impossible to prepare for: Air Force, Army, Navy, Georgia Tech, and Pitt. Yes, Pitt, their offense is also a shell game with misdirection, trades, ball fakes, shovel passes, jet sweeps, etc. As this season goes by, people will stop cranking on us for that time of possession problem, and understand they are also in this class.

But back to Air Force: That offense is going to cause problems for that defense, because no matter how many stars those recruits have behind their names, they have NEVER seen anything like they are going to see on Saturday.

I think Pitt could win. That sure would make PSU look good so I'm also hoping for it. I think the Clemson d is too good. I think they shut down Louisville. Stanford might have a tough time bouncing back as well.

I say

Oklahoma State vs Pitt
Stanford vs San Diego State
Clemson vs Louisville

My Lord, the Kelly Bryant love-fest is on now. ESPN just all over him, with his incredible, unreal, 14 total points vs Auburn, mostly on QB keeps and lobs for interference calls.

I certainly do not think the Cowboys will beat the Ducks, but Wyoming apparently has a quarterback who is rated near the top of this year's NFL Draft class. Dude is big, tall, and can apparently spin it really well. The Wyoming-Oregon game is a late TV game this Saturday.

Wow. Well they must have put some points up in a few other games, because their QB is rated extremely high.

Illinois and Pitt are the biggest chance for an upset this week imo...would love for Texas to knock off USC but if they cant beat Maryland at home they ain't beating USC on the road unless they play a perfect game. I want Clemson to smoke Louisville just because I don't feel like hearing about how great Lamar Jackson is all week next week, plus I think Clemson loses to VT in a few weeks anyway.

sounds like what people were saying about a certain qb we all know last year except insert "jump 50-50 balls" for interference calls

Easy, it's Herbie. He upsets more people on this Board than anyone else, including Mushmouth.

I suppose you have a point. I'm still getting tired of the Kelly Bryant love-fest: He's played two games and in one of those games he was responsible for exactly one touchdown against Auburn. I think he's overrated. Time will tell.
