Agreed. It was a completely different coaching staff and different players anyway. No one in the current regime or players have done that.
+1+100. And remember the Maryland coach at the time winked at it, said something like, now there's a rivalry. That is not how you make a rivalry.
I will never forget this and I may not live to forgive it. I hope PSU blows them out every year.

That coach has now been exiled back to UCONN where he can get blown out on a weekly basis and will be sent to football purgatory after this year.
well here is something you didnt see every game, JVP without a tie on , while coaching a game.
Hmmm. I'm outside the 1,359 mi radius of Penn State and yet I don't hate them. Must be something in the water.
I don't like the huge gap in between the 2 parts of the state. They should fill most of that in and put some synthetic turf over it.
Actually it is not a completely different coaching staff. Locksley was the OC on the 2014 team.

WOW! This Jablomi guy has to have the most toxic opinion of Penn State there could ever be. You have to wonder what causes someone to have such disdain and hatred. Not a healthy mindset at all. He reminds me of a fellow on the staff I managed for a brief time that had similar issues as his purpose in life seemed to constantly undermine everyone else on our team. On the eve of his last day working before retirement he died of a heart attack. Just not healthy in any way to harbor such animosity.
I put Maryland fans in the same category with Rutgers fans in that they think there is some sort of rivalry with PSU and basically "hate us 'cause they ain't us." Their programs have never really done anything for any extended period of time, but their fans act like they somehow "deserve" a good football program (despite not really supporting the program).
He's obviously a really classy guy. Having read their 247 pay site recently, 100% of the posters there share the same mindset.

That's really what it's about. It's easy to understand why Maryland hates PSU, why Maryland hated Paterno.
PSU has ruined a lot of Maryland seasons over the last 50 years. PSU has (metaphorically) cut the heart out of some good Maryland teams. Today, Franklin (who Maryland, amazingly, passed on) goes into Maryland and Delmarva and mostly gets the players Penn State wants, and Maryland gets who is left.
So I don't blame them. This is the hate that losers always have for winners.

- I'll start with the obvious... the ravens.
- The state flag is ugly.
- Picking blue crabs is for poor people.
- The stupid car magnets that are a crab with the state flags colors.

And they put that stupid flag on just about everything in the State.
Really hard for me to muster up the strong feeling of hate, for an insignificant program. A MD positive, I do have a love thing for the Corner Stable Restaurant North of Baltimore. Mmmmm

I hate Maryland because of the crabs I got there once.
I can't be bothered hating a team PSU has beaten 39 of 42 times. MD's proximity doesn't really add anything for me; watching PSU beat Maryland is no more exciting or satisfying than watching PSU beat Indiana, Purdue, or Minnesota.
Worst drivers in the country. Rude people. Humidity. Taxes.
