Tomlin should be fired for keeping Gunner on the team as much as for keeping Canada here
Its just mind boggling to me that hes still employed. At least the Iowa one makes sense bc its his son.
He has to have nude pictures of someone important. He absolutely sucks. And Lando, you are correct. Gunner is abysmal.
Usually I can find some reason they keep players around but i have nothing on Gunner. Not a clue
Hows the backup? That ones not as bad as firing Canada. Im sure he has someone on his staff who would be a better OC.
Trubisky may not be better but he can't be worse
Imagine the Patriots and Bill O'Brien making the Steelers offense look potent.
How can we tell whether the problem is Canada, or instead Pickett, or instead an O-Line that can't get a running game going, or whatever else? I mean, when they run a play and it fails, how can we tell whether the problem is the play call itself or instead the execution?

Just one of many examples: there was a play where the Pickett went under center with Warren the single back. They motion into a bunch formation on the right. Was thinking to myself, JFC they're gonna pitch it to Warren to the right side. Guess what happened? Warren was lucky to net +3 yards on the play.
Because no matter who is playing the results look exactly the same. Sure some of it is the OL, but Canada has been calling plays for BR, Rudolph, Trubisky and now Pickett. What's the common denominator?
Common denominator……..one playoff win in twelve years…..which predates Canada by a decade.
Canada hasn't been fired because for some reason Tomlin likes him. Tomlin runs the Steelers 100%. He makes every decision. Tomlin will never be fired. The Steelers could go 0-17 for 20 years in a row and Tomlin won't be fired. Canada will leave when Tomlin says so, and not before.
Oh yes he can. To quote buddy Ryan. I would trade him for a 6 pack and it wouldn't even need to be cold. That dude is straight 🗑️.
I've echoed the same thing to folks who think we have it so good. The worst thing that happened was him winning a Super Bowl in 2nd year. It basically gave him a lifetime contract with the Rooneys. If they weren't going to fire Cowher who had two 6-10 seasons and a 7-9 season, they are never going to fire Tomlin.
