I am not sure I want my QB to be "humble". From my standpoint, to do fantastic things, you have to know you can do fantastic things. I watched the 76ers Hardin last night single-handedly beat the Boston Celtics. Hardin is no shrinking violet who has been a pain in the ass for years. Kobe, LeBron, Rogers, Brady...you name me the super bowl winning Qb and I'll show a guy with a massive ego and incredible self-confidence. The only guy I can think of that, so far, doesn't seem to have an abusive-level ego is Mahomes.Cowherd is Cowherd, but this is an interesting take on Levis.

I mean, look at a guy like Lemar Jackson. Dude just signed a $250m contract. Do you think he once wondered about the second team guard that steps in and saves his bacon when the starter goes down? Nope.
I also have to say that Cowherd is the most egotistical sports blowhard not named Skip Bayless.

It's interesting. True or not who knows. Richardson is talking about being in the Hall of Fame at 20 before he was drafted so I dont know. But maybe the concern is Levis is another Baker or Manziel. Who knows? To be honest I have my doubts about every “top rated” qb in this draft. Young is small and injury prone. I watched the kid from Florida a couple of games and he was terrible, a turnover waiting to happen. There are legit questions concerning Stroud and his ability to recognize coverage and manage protections.
Cowherd doesn’t know Levis. A lot of the “gun selfies” came from his socialite girlfriend. When he was at Penn State his teammates seemed to like Levis from what I recall.
You can’t be much more arrogant, obstinate and cocky than Big Ben, and he seemed to have a pretty good career. Cowherd seems to equate cockiness with being uncoachable, I'm not sure that is true. 95% of all the players in the NFL are cocky.

Regardless, taking a QB is a crap shoot but is a necessary crap shoot. If you take the 2018 class you had the following QBs drafted:
- Mayfield, #1
- Darnold, #3
- Josh Allen, #7
- Josh Rosen, #10
- Lamar Jackson, #32
And this isn't unique. Trubisky was picked before Mahomes (and Mahomes was a surprise pick at 10). DeShaun Watson went at 12 in what was considered a weak QB draft year. of course, Brady didn't go until the sixth round.
So you take a player that has all the physical skills and hope he pans out.
