Why not socks?

Just wondering how red and green ankle bands were chosen, given that the prevalence of color blindness in men is approximately 5% to 8%.

"Color vision deficiency (sometimes called color blindness) represents a group of conditions that affect the perception of color. Red-green color vision defects are the most common form of color vision deficiency. Affected individuals have trouble distinguishing between some shades of red, yellow, and green." I'm color blind and can only see about half of the numbers in the color dot circles they use to test for it. I have a red/green deficiency. I can easily distinguish the new safety yellow/green versus any color. Why not have one wrestler wear safety yellow/green anklets and assume the other guy is red without. It would be much easier, even for fans at a distance to know who's green and red. Just my 2 cents.

-- Different colored headgear
-- Colored wristbands
-- Different colored singlets
-- Colored socks (let's make someone wealthy, as anything done would surely include D2, D3, NAIA, JC, and probably more, year after year after year, AND cost wrestling programs already in the red more $$$'s)

-- Or we could stay with ankle bands :).

I'm going with the guy on the left. Clearly the more self-assured and confident. Fully open stance, hiding nothing, tighter shorts, direct eye contact, and that "you can't handle my gifs" smolder. Plus, he's wearing PSU blue. Clearly @82bordeaux is the guy on the left. Final answer.
Yeah, @jmadden1998 is on the right. Notice the elevated heel. That's the giveaway.

Why Not end this thread! looks like the type of thread that would be on HR! Sorry to be the old "get off my lawn" guy!

Why not green socks and red socks instead of ankle bands? Or better yet, home and away singlets !
What do you do in a tournament when two green socks or two red socks wrestle each other?

Sounds like a Tom Ryan gimmick.

Start out as a Green Sock by default.
Hang around a while, become a Black Shirt.
Show some strength, graduate to Red Sock.
Pin a dude during a reasonably possible team championship run, get a Pin Chain.

No socks until the tanning regimen is complete. Socks must be earned!
