Why the noon kick benefits us

I've heard tons of people bitching about the noon kick as if it is a big disservice to our team. Traditionally they're right to be concerned. We generally start slow in these games and our fans have trouble waking up before noon. Howver there's a few huge difference this week. We're playing Michigan. It's a whiteout. Last home game of the year. It's senior day. Most of our noon home games are against the Army's and Umass's of the world. It's hard to get up for those games for both the fans and players. It's traditionally much harder for the away team to travel for a noon kick. Enter Michigan. They just played in a hard fought war last week on the road. Very emotional, physical game. We're coming off a bye and chomping at the bit to knock off a ranked team. Not to mention Michigan has Ohio state the next week. All of this coupled with a noon kick on the road in Beaver stadium for senior day will be a huge advantage for us. Not saying we will win but the early kick will only help those chances.
