Minnesota had no Nick Crosses on the field. This was the best case of a total team and coach effort to not be prepared to play a good team (except for a half dozen players) . PSU otherwise (the whole program got what they deserved)
Well since Cross is a Safety, #5 would have still been on the fieldan opponents WR will have a BIG GAME on you with #5 in there!

The coaches didn’t “miss” on Cross, he simply didn’t want to play at PSU. Were they supposed to force him to sign his LOI at gunpoint?
Many things fell favorably for Minn. and they won.......I think that we win 6 or 7 out of ten games... With that being said, I was very impressed with Minn.. offense. Very good OL, smart Qb, good multiple RBs and 2-3 physical WRs......good for Minn.
Minn is in a difficult positiion....they win with a new coach and he leaves and goes to Texas....they do not win the coach stays.......glad that Fleck got a long term deal as Texas or FSU or USC will have to pay a lot of money to get their coach, unless PJ stays in Minnesota, which seems unlikely otherwise,he would have stayed in WMU.
