Let me answer this for you. Yes, it will.
The escalated charges will never stick and now the defense attorneys, for the police, are asking for the city to produce the knife that Gray was carrying. If the knife was indeed illegal, under Baltimore law, many of the charges will be dropped.
The 2nd degree murder charge was already ridiculous (as if Osprey, NJ or Steve G made the decision) and was simply made to satisfy the mob/liberals.
Mosby, the over-her-head state's Attorney General, made a political grandstand and it's going to backfire on everybody. She has pretty much guaranteed a change of venue with her obvious bias against the police.
Baltimore is a city that has been under liberal rule for 50 years (they have not had a republican mayor since 1967) and been on the steady decline for at least the last 20 of those. I can remember when it was cool to go to the Inner Harbor, now all the good restaurants have fled and thugs (yes thugs) are all over the place. Baltimore is going to burn to the ground when the cops are found not guilty.
Baltimore used to be a great city and a fun place to go. Full of great restaurants, the Inner Harbor, Little Italy, and Fells Point. When the decision comes down that Mosby was wrong I wouldn't be caught anywhere close to it.
And we can thank the left for this.
