Will they be called by Jay or PSU for that matter on why Jay wasn't hired? Will they be forced to testify? This is a legal question. I don't know how this is going to work.

Meyer will be busy writing a letter to the Massachusetts court expressing his support of Aaron Hernandez. In part, "He was such a good kid at the University of Florida!"

if they did, they could easily say, ' well I never really considered Jay for any position as his name was too toxic, so I just moved on' . and that's it.

The short answer is that if either party felt their testimony would be helpful to their case then they would call them. But their likely position is going to be "we had no vacancies when Jay contacted us".
One other thing to keep in mind - human nature often leads us to tell people what they want to hear. Don't be shocked if Jay produces people from D-1 schools who may have told Jay in 2008, 2009, 2010, etc.... "if you ever decide to leave PSU we would love to talk with you a position at our school". Those conversations happen in every profession and when one makes these statements you normally don't expect to wind up in court.
