Will the BTN now spend the next 6 hours talking about how the refs robbed Wisconsin on that offense pass interference?
Michigan different team from end of Ohio state game to halftime of citrus bowlNo, probably too busy excusing scUM's performance against BAMA.

I'm sure the BTN will go all in with the Big Ten team that won a NY6 bowl, right?

Ed Westfall used to use a similar line when he did the Islanders games. “He’s like the guy who would hit himself in the head with a hammer because it felt so good when he stopped.”Mind boggling to me that anybody takes seriously, let alone takes offense, to what these TV chatterboxes spew in an effort to fill air time.
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Save yourself some grief.
If you hit yourself on the noggin with a hammer every day, you’re going to keep getting headaches.
In typical fashion, the BTN (and B1G) will make excuses for the "chosen three" losers (UW joined that elite company this year), condescendingly pat Minny on the head for beating AU, pretend MSU didn't fall to the Pinstripe Bowl, and largely ignore the Cotton Bowl winner.
Then they'll probably have near strokes worrying that Indy must beat UTenn in order for the conference to have a winning bowl record.
I suspect there is far more scripted and far less original thought on the BTN group discussions than one could imagine. If not, why are there seemingly two disparate thought patterns every time? The BTN "guides" the discussion content with their talking points, just like politics and network news.Unbelievable, Mason just called out the Badgers offensive PI call as questionable after he and the rest of those schmucks on the BTN talking heads panel completely ignored the ridiculous OPI call on PSU at the goal line in Minnesota. You can’t make this stuff up.
You guys need professional help.
You want wall to wall coverage and superlative accolades for beating G-5 Memphis??? Great! We beat Memphis!!!! Maybe next year, we can take on Bama, Clemson, or Oregon like the guys you are bi+ching about did.
And yes, Wisky got hosed pure and simple. If that would have happened to us by those awesome, non-Big Ten refs, this Board would be in a Galactic, cataclysmic meltdown.

Wisconsin got hosed, Ohio State got hosed, blah, blah, blah. Awesome to see other B1G teams finally get f d by officials as well.
Memphis is the best college football team in Tennessee....juts saying. And I don’t think anyone is advocating for getting more coverage for beating Memphis (although it was a NY6 bowl) than the CFP games, but how about some coverage? How about at least as much as the Rose Bowl...you know, the other NY6 bowl that had a Big team in it? And unlike the Rose Bowl, the other NY6 bowl had a Big team actually win it.Think about what you are saying. You want wall to wall coverage for LOSING!!!!!!! Is that what you really want????
You guys all wanted these Big Ten teams to lose, and now you're bi+ching that you get to endlessly watch their agony.
The absolute LAST thing I would be watching is BTN if we LOST. If we lost, you guys would be bit(hing endlessly about all the coverage we were getting. Sorry, but beating one of Tennessee's little brothers, the one that's not even a P-5 school, doesn't register that high on the Richter Scale outside of State College and Memphis.
Good win! But does it trump playing in the Rose Bowl or a CFP game???????????? Not even close. Anyone that thinks it does is beyond all help. Relax and enjoy someone else's pain.
It is a big part of recruiting and building the program. It is why osu has an advantage over everyone but Michigan (but um can’t get out of their own way)Mind boggling to me that anybody takes seriously, let alone takes offense, to what these TV chatterboxes spew in an effort to fill air time.

So it’s disingenuous to criticize teams who regularly lose their bowl games for . . . Losing their bowl games AGAIN? Gotcha. Or getting annoyed because the Big Ten (from its Commissioner and head of referees on down to its bevy of talking heads on ITS network) whines about calls while systematically ignoring identical (or more egregious) bad calls against Penn State?Couldn't have said it better. Playing #17 while watching others play actual competition was disheartening. And to criticize those teams who didn't fare well in their games is a little disingenuous.

I don’t think that’s why OSU has a recruiting advantage. It might be their incredible record the past few years. The crying on this board is non stop.It is a big part of recruiting and building the program. It is why osu has an advantage over everyone but Michigan (but um can’t get out of their own way)

No, you’re right, it’s the beautiful Columbus Ohio climate that keeps them rolling in.Of course, I forgot. Everyone better than us cheats

its not one issue and it is not black/white...but the press is a powerful ally or opponent. If you are watching the big ten network is ALL ohio state and michigan. PSU hardly ever is mentioned. if you are a four of five star kid hoping to play three and go to the NFL, you want the PR. And we aren't getting it.I don’t think that’s why OSU has a recruiting advantage. It might be their incredible record the past few years. The crying on this board is non stop.
They’re both NY6 bowls, so in that way yes. But the differences is we won and Wiscy didn’t, so no.So you're comparing us carrying the P-5's water for them and doing what we were expected to do to the Rose Bowl???? Got it. : ^ )
Good thing kids don't watch that sorry excuse for a network. It's like watching a bad infomercial.its not one issue and it is not black/white...but the press is a powerful ally or opponent. it is interesting that both tOSU and Wiscy outplayed their opponents but lost the game. tOSU was very unfortunate in injuries and every call went Clemson's way. Wiscy got killed in the turnover battle and that offensive PI call was very questionable...especially it being called at such a critical time.I watched the first half of the Rose but not much of the second. It was so interesting to see Whisky get called for holding a couple of times in the first half, they probably didn't know such a rule existed....
