to try to influence the outcome?
They certainly got away with jobbing us majorly in 2014 but that wasn't a 2 vs 6 matchup. Anyone watching that game knew that the calls were egregious and unilaterally biased resulting in at least 10 points directly accounted for by the refs. Penn St would have won that overtime game in regulation without the bush league crap that they pulled (losing a replay feed, letting a play occur 5 seconds after the play clock expired, etc).
Anyway, this year I think if these tactics are employed, it would cost the B1G their playoff spot. A 1 loss B1G champ is in the playoff, UNLESS it is widely accepted that they really lost a second game to a superior team except for obvious officiating errors (which we have learned through experience is institutionalized bias). There are enough eyeballs on this Gameday highlighted matchup that bias will be called out. At that point, I would expect that writers pushing for 2 SEC teams, Notre Dame, other conferences, etc will dig up our 2014 screw job as well to expose the B1G for their financial and playoff benefit.
What do you think our odds of getting a fair shake Saturday are? Keep in mind the backdrop of the B1G already denying our request against their alternate uniforms which make it tough to read the numbers and then denied our request to use our blue uniforms to provide a better contrast with their light grey.
