Lmao you continue to embarrass yourselfI say that if Jimmy doesn't conduct a honest open QB competition he will be ran out of town. Let me say this also at the beginning I was very excited and supportive. This is no longer the case primarily due to James bilking the dollars out of PSU every damn year. He sold himself as the next Loyal committed Coach. He is only loyal to money.
And who the hell is going to “run him out of town”? As my late father used to say who died and made you boss? How do you conclude that he didn’t conduct an open QB competition the past several years. Despite his issues, Clifford is better than Stevens and Levis IMO. I hope Allar is all that and a bag of chips, but it is a big jump from high school to college especially at QB. The man offensive problems were the lousy offensive line and poor play by the running backs and tight ends.I say that if Jimmy doesn't conduct a honest open QB competition he will be ran out of town. Whatever, the word is out there that Cliff is inaccurate and wilts under pressure. Did you watch the Outback Bowl? Do you want to see more of that next season? And who the hell is going to “run him out of town”? As my late father used to say who died and made you boss? Well said. Clifford will be the starting QB next year unless he throws away the job in actual games. Clifford returned under the impression he was going to start. Otherwise he'd be in the draft or the portal. Let's be realClifford is not coming back to be a tutor. It will be Clifford, CV, and the two freshmen though the winter. We’ll see in the spring. But don’t expect a freshman to start at Purdue unless Cliff is hurt. The three young guns will battle all year for the backup spot and Jimmy Franks better get them game experience.

Something that's not being mentioned here:Clifford is not coming back to be a tutor. It will be Clifford, CV, and the two freshmen though the winter. We’ll see in the spring. If his primary interest is for the team to get better, there must be open competition.I say we see SOS....
Regrettably.
Not so sure about that. This year, Levis had a higher QB rating (149.4 to 137.8), higher completion percentage (66.5 to 62.4), more touchdown passes (23 to 20), more rushing yards (487 to 293), more rushing touchdowns (9 to 2). The only place statistically Clifford was better was yards (2912 to 2593) and interceptions (6 to 12). Levis led a 10-3 team while Clifford led a 7-6 team. And who the hell is going to “run him out of town”? As my late father used to say who died and made you boss? Of course not, the back up is always better, LOLBetter question - if Clifford is named the starting QB, will anyone on this board believe he's the best option to start the season even if he actually is?

Did you watch any of Kentucky’s games? In the few I saw their offense featured the run game with Levis basically being a game manager. Not so sure about that. Been that way with some fans for the almost 60 years I have been a Penn State fan. Why change now?Of course not, the back up is always better, LOL
Clifford threw 396 passes and Levis threw 325. PSU ran the ball 318 times and UK ran the ball 333. Both teams seem pretty even from the stand point of run-pass. I didn't include the 87 rushing attempts by SC or the 92 by WL.Did you watch any of Kentucky’s games? In the few I saw their offense featured the run game with Levis basically being a game manager.
And on the games I saw the announcers all were very impressed with very quick release. He has a rocket of an arm and was accurate on deep throws. Also ran like a tank which everyone knows he can do.Been that way with some fans for the almost 60 years I have been a Penn State fan. Why change now?
The problem is the offensive line, not Sean Clifford, not Christian Veilloux, not Drew Allar, and not Beau PribulaSo, one can already see the conclusion here. If Allar is not the starting QB, an open competition did not occur, The irony is dripping...
Hard to tell who was better. Levis had a better Oline. When I watched the two play this year, they looked like clones. Both made stupid mistakes and bad decisions that a veteran QB shouldn't make. And who the hell is going to “run him out of town”? As my late father used to say who died and made you boss?
