Here in the far North suburbs of Dallas, we began the morning with sleet, rain and now heavy snow. Roads are just wet, but temps will drop to 31 in the next hour or so. Tonight, freezing rain and heavy snow. Fingers crossed that we don’t lose power during the game.

I’m trying to get out to Phoenix from Austin and my plane is coming from Dallas. Dreading a cancellation. Haven’t had a night off from care giving for my son since April and looking forward to a brief trip

My home office is in Plano and they closed it for tomorrow in anticipation of bad weather.

If you must drive on ice, please slow down. 4 wheel/all wheel drive are useless on ice. And if you skid, turn into the skid. If you cut the wheel opposite to the skid, you will spin out of control. Better yet, stay home and knock back a couple Old Fashioneds. Makers Mark!
