125 – Brown (So) <Oak Grove, MO>

Conner Brown transfers in from South Dakota State. He had a 26-16 record as a true freshman and went 1-2 in the tournament. He takes over for Johnny Jimenez who went 6-16 last year (Jimenez did qualify for the tournament in 2017 (1-2) and 2016 (0-2)).

133 – Lantz (Sr) <Ellsworth> or Paul Konrath (Fr) <Mt. Vernon, IN>

Jens Lantz returns for his final season. He went 17-15 last year and did not qualify for the tournament. Konrath went 21-3 during his redshirt year and may overtake Lantz as the starter.

Edit: Konrath is transfering to Indiana

141 – Moran (Jr) <Stillwater, OK>

Wisconsin gets another very good transfer from Oklahoma State. Tristan Moran replaced Blaylock @157 at the end of the season last year for OSU and did not qualify for the tournament. He went 18-7, mostly wrestling @149. He wrestled @141 in 2016 and 2017 and had numerous notable wins but just couldn’t crack the OSU starting lineup. Eli Stickley, who tragically died in a car accident this summer, was the starter last year and had a 20-14 season record and went 1-2 in the tournament.

149 – Martin (Jr) <Lancaster, WI>

Two-time qualifier Cole Martin (0-2 in 2018, 0-2 @141 in 2017) had a 17-14 record last season.

157 – Zander Wick (So) <San Marino, CA>

Wick’s season ended early last year due to injury. He had a 12-4 record @149. He takes over @157 from two-time qualifier Andrew Crone (1-2 in 2018, R12 @149 in 2017).

165 – Evan Wick (So) <San Marino, CA>

Wick had a great first year as a starter (especially considering the weight class he’s in) and was Wisconsin’s only AA. Wick had a 30-7 season record and entered the NCAA tournament as the 10 seed. He went on to place 3rd after defeating 5 other seeded wrestlers including Massa, Marinelli and Marsteller.

174 – Ryan Christensen (Sr) <Woodinville, WA>

Three-time qualifier (1-2 in 2018, 2-2 in 2017, 0-2 @184 in 2016) Christensen returns for his final season. He had a 25-15 record last season.

184 –Krattiger (Fr) <Waterford, WI>

Incoming freshman Jared Krattiger was ranked #6 in his class @184 by Flo (#57 overall). He takes over for 4-time qualifier Ricky Robertson (1-2 @184 in 2018, 1-2 @197 in 2017, 0-2 @174 in 2016, 2-2 @184 in 2015).

197 – Reinhardt (Jr) <Merrill, WI> or Salemme (Fr) <Marquette, WI>

Mason Reinhardt had a 9-6 record in opens last year. Another option is incoming freshman Andrew Salemme. Whoever is the starter is replacing Hunter Ritter, a two-time qualifier (1-2 in 2018, 1-2 @184 in 2017) who had a 27-11 record last season. I dont know why Ritter left. He has 2 years left of eligibility.

Heavy – Hillger (Fr) <Lake Fenton, MI>

Trent Hillger went 20-6 during his redshirt season and will probably replace Ben Stone (Jr) as the starter who went 7-18 last year.

There is a lot of turnover with Wisconsin’s roster this year. They return 1 AA (E.Wick) and two other qualifiers and lose 4 qualifiers from last year. However, they added two quality transfers and get Zander Wick back from injury in addition to getting a very good head coach. This program is on the rise. I think they’ll exceed last year’s performance of 17th place/27.5 points. This is a young team that should do even better in 2020.
