An altered state
and walk around the MSU campus a few days. Wonder what reaction one would get. Would they now show some sympathy? Do any now have a different perspective? Would they make some effort to get to the truth? Would any even go so far as to apologize?

If I lived closer I would drive up and try it out...

My wife and I lived in Michigan for 11 years, about an hour and a half from East Lansing. We went up to michigan state several times for Penn State games in different sports, and their fans never bothered us. We were at the football game in 2016 when their offensive lineman scored the touchdown in the 4th quarter. That was an ugly game, and we sat in the michigan state section, and fans around us were great.

They won't do anything. The students rank and file etc are focused on Nassar and the victims. As they should be.

Not on something their president said 6 years ago. They are not looking through that lens. Only we are.
True that current students were in high school when Simon ran her mouth off and don't know what she said but I am sure they are aware of what Penn State went through.
