As a kid who grew up playing hockey on the 18th hole pond of the golf course right over the hill from our neighborhood, I’m sure the players are loving playing an outdoor game at Wrigley Field. The fans maybe not so much.

The Blackhawks and Blues just played on that rink three days ago, so I’m sure that it’s a standard NHL rink. Unlike with the old arenas, the modern arenas basically all have the same size rink.
Hockey gloves used to be natural leather before they started dying them to match team colors. That is the look they’re bringing here and made the pants to match the gloves. They also have a vintage patch of the African Lion logo, the Icers club team logo on the pants, and I believe the wide stripes are taken from the Icers as well. The script Penn State is supposed to mimic the baseball team in a nod to Wrigley. I think they look much better than Notre Dame’s.
Did anyone notice the tan/gold color on the lion logo during the Boise game? I thought it was weird- or maybe an effect that was being applied for all playoff teams.
It might be. It seems like they put a lot of attention and effort into these Wrigley Field outdoor game uniforms. Also, as mentioned I think you are going to see a Flyers-Penguins game at Beaver Stadium after the stadium upgrades.
I only noticed it on the TV Scoreboard Chipmunk logo during Fiesta...I guess we'll see next Thursday
