My annual shout-out, and ELO comment...

To andegre, who single-handedly has provided a tool for fans to easily see current wrestler & team info galore AND history, for anyone that wants.

It's unlikely these words will stop some from potshots, but keep in mind this is a mathematical model, no human interaction other than tweaking ELO to fit wrestling. Early-season "rankings" are affected, especially for incoming freshmen, until their match count gets to 15 or so.

I love that you're getting a jump on the annual knee-jerk, barely-informed rankings criticism lobbed at andegre. It's still inevitable but if you caused just one person to think before hitting "send" it'll have been worth it.

Our group did our draft last night and we had all kinds of problems with the website. Somewhat to be expected in the first year. Still very excited and appreciative of all those that put in the work to make this possible.

Yes, apologize about that. Had about a 5 minute blast, but I quickly added 2 servers which seemed to get everyone going after they ramped-up. Made some big changes last night to work on the performance, and then updated my auto-scaling thresholds since they weren't configured correctly. Tonight went very well, except for @impalanut experience.

I do have everything dialed in to exactly how I need it, while accommodating dozens of concurrent drafts. Smooth sailing from here [I hope].

Yeah, I wanted to move the chat feature over to the Draft room, but there's already SO MUCH DATA that needs pulled down to make that work correctly, the ROI [aka loss of performance/responsiveness] was too much to get me to do it.

Next year is going to have a completely re-written version that relies on push notifications, it will be LIGHT YEARS faster than the current process.
