Wrestling commits article.....

I feel totally greedy, and with this re-load coming in, I can't imagine how the current 3-in-a-row doesn't become 6- or 7-in-a-row....

Help me with recollection -- did Spencer Lee leave Pennsylvania for Iowa because Suriano was coming to Penn State?

That's a popular, but unconfirmed belief around here. I think Spencer just prefered Iowa, personally. Good for him. 2020 (foresight) could be interesting for us if tOSU shirts Martin and McKenna next year.

It's crazy to think that 4 time state champs is the norm for Cael. I know it's all relative with regard to what state you come from, but still very impressive.

Nitfan -- this is an old article. We discussed it a good bit when it appeared on March 6th. In addition, my pinned post about Signees/Verbal's Postseasons had most of the info contained in the article before the article was published.

BrucePa -- El-Jefe's answer is pretty good. Lee was a year behind Suriano. PSU really wanted Lee, and recruited him for several years. Suriano wanted Lee to join him at PSU. Suriano was planning to move to 133 if Lee joined PSU. Lee opting for Iowa had nothing to do with Suriano being at PSU.

Don't forget Pletcher as well.

Yeah ...because he did terrible at Rutgers...Went through regular season unbeaten. Won a Midlands title. Didn't have a point scored on him in NCAA Tournament until NCAA Final.
He was already at that skill level when he showed up at Rutgers. Actually he had a stronger offensive skill set when he left State College than he does now.

He had absolutely nothing to offer Spencer as far as an offensive attack was concerned. His offense did not stress Cruz either. I am fairly certain against Tomasello he would have had zero also.
