When Nico Megaludis opted to take a redshirt last year, his fourth at Penn State, it only heightened the suspense for the 125-pounder's final season in a blue and white singlet.

He was already a three-time All-American and two-time NCAA finalist, batting "leadoff," as head coach Cael Sanderson likes to describe it, for three national championship teams. So when he took the year off last season in order to polish his takedown attempts and reflect upon his first three seasons at PSU that have gone way too fast it was only assumed that the Murrysville, Pa., native would fire out of the gates for his fifth and final year of college wrestling, picking up where he left off and maybe even then some.
