Why perpetuate this narrative. ESPN helped give the shaft to Leach at Texas Tech and you bring this up to salt the wound. He was screwed at TT and it was sad because he was doing so much to encourage his athletes to become STUDENT athletes. Craig James, with ESPN at the time, used his position in the the media to disparage Leach for disciplining James' spoiled son. TT fired Leach at a time when he had earned incentives in his contract but James/ESPN gave them the cover to fire Leach rather than pay him those incentives. Since that time, I have become a huge Leach fan and I despise Texas Tech.
Mike Leach deserves whatever success he gets.

I don't know what really happened at TT, but as a Penn Stater, I have learned not to merely accept media accounts...

I remember when the narrative was that nobody would want to coach at Penn State after the scandal, one name that I thought would (if not to just give an F-You to the media/ESPN) was Mike Leach. I'm happy with the way things turned out for us, but would've been okay with Leach in HV at the time.
