I have not been a Penn State fan as long as most of you. I didn't watch a college football game until my freshman year (1993) at Penn State, but I was sold immediately. I have supported the team through good times and bad. I plan my fall around Penn State games. Yesterday, was the first game that I ever watched us lose that I felt good after. I was so proud of the team's effort on both sides of the ball in the 4th quarter. I loved watching Barkley and McSorley rally the troops. Showing true leadership. McSorley moved around in the pocket and kept plays alive. The defense held tough when they needed to. A great team effort. I'm looking forward to next year.
I respect Hackenburg for keeping his commitment when the sanctions came down. It took a lot of character to see that through. However, I don't know that his heart has been with the team this year. He couldn't declare for the nfl fast enough. I think the failure to thank Franklin was juvenile. There are many games where Franklin stuck with Hack when he should have been pulled. I think we will be better as a team without him.
If there are coaching changes, then so be it. One thing we all know is it will take more than that to take down our team. We have walked through the fire before and come out of it ok.
