I found them incredibly interesting and detailed. As he was reading of the elements of the charges I was saying to myself "No, No, Nope, Doesn't Apply, Nope..."

I expect this Judge's instructions - and the instructions given by 99% of Judges - was largely a non-factor after the first 5 minutes of deliberations

The Jury was tasked with "finding justice" (Laugh or Cry?), not the Judge.
If it was up to the Judge - why ruin 12 folks' week? :)


Of course, this jury - like most - probably devolved to a "group intelligence" lower than the individual intelligence of any of the single members.

Sad, but not unexpected.

And when Silver spent the week humping the leg of his desk, rather than presenting a case.........while Blotto Ditka called for an exorcism.........?
