Watching the TCU / CAL game. TCU runs a trick play, and a 2nd forward pass is thrown. The 2nd forward pass is intercepted by CAL. TCU flagged for the 2nd forward pass. CAL declined and takes the possession of the ball at the spot the tackle occurred on the interception. Should the interception stand if it occurred on an illegal forward pass? Shouldn’t TCU have been penalized but retained possession? I just don’t understand how you can have an interception result from an illegal forward pass?
