#1 2024 top recruit/ #1 QB decomitts from OSU

So one big question is why? NIL? Coaching issues? Did he get word of some one leaving?

Then, how will affect other recruits? Will they second guess their choice? What will he tell other recruits?

Could just something personal like staying close to home. But will be interesting to follow.

Sounds like Oregon will move right to the front.

Lots of talk about family connections to Nebraska, his Ohio State NIL deal is not as good as what other schools are offering, and he wants to take visits but Ohio State said No. He is a 2024 recruit so he still has a lot of time to go through the recruiting process.

Schools becoming like high pressure car sales. Gotta get that commitment before you leave the lot because you might buy elsewhere. That's a real caring attitude for a student athlete. Mortgage your future with me or else. 17 year old kids. Nice work CFB, high character stuff.

I read a couple of things played into his decision. First, he was tight with former OSU OC Kevin Wilson who recently accepted the HC position at Tulsa. Second, his uncle took a asst. position with Rhule at Nebraska where is father played and made a few AA teams. He probably would have already been committed to Nebraska if it wasn't for Frost who supposedly got "hammered" during his in-home visit with the family. He was fired just a few days later. What a tool !!

And who knows how much NIL money is now being thrown at him. Definitely a different CF game now. Supposedly, there's a recent Sports Illustrated article that stated that Georgia is throwing $1.8 million at 2023, 5-star DL Damon Wilson and his family by a couple of wealthy boosters. That's just INSANE and, I have to believe, not the original intent of NIL. Just have to wonder how much longer CF will be around especially with the way the southern teams are throwing the NIL at HS recruits

Let me guess, hmmmmmm, Lincoln Riley.
6 hour drive from Phoenix.
Lol. He can walk across the street to Tempe and choose from the most beautiful young women in the nation, or drive about 90 minutes south to Tucson and choose from the rest of the most beautiful young women in the nation, and never have a single day of weather under 80 degrees 🤣 🤣
