Thanks!

Towson will be tricky.
I don't follow things as closely as you and some others here do. Is it safe to say that there is not much separation between the tops teams? If UMd is the #1 seed, PSU has to have a fighting chance to make some noise. Yes?

In women's LAX, PSU is the #4 seed. They'll play the winner of the James Madison - Louisville match. The winner of that match plays the winner of the #5 seed Princeton - Cornell/Notre Dame winner.

The seeds in WLAX are:

1. Maryland
2. UNC
3. Florida
4. PSU
5. Princeton
6. Syracuse
7. Penn
8. Stony Brook

The top 6 seeds avoid a first-round match.

Classic clash of different styles. You guys love the up-tempo, high-scoring game and you don't lose at home. We have a pretty damn good defense and play a more opportunistic, possession game. If you guys put up 10+, you'll win. If we can keep it in single digits, it'll be a nailbiter. We played Ohio State tight back in March and gave up like a 4-0 run in the 4th quarter to watch them pull away and we beat Hopkins so there's two common opponents between us.

FWIW, a Pennsylvania school has not won a game in the NCAA lacrosse tournament against a non-Pennsylvania school in 29 years. Since 1988 (Penn over Loyola in the QFs).

Hopefully we break that streak!

You were NEVER part of "We" and you will NEVER be a part of "We"!

FOH!

I admit to not being a LAX expert, but why is Ohio State seeded 4 spots ahead of us with 1 more loss on the season (one of which was against us)?. I watched that game and from what I could tell, we pretty much dominated them.

I'm no expert either but I blame Herbstreit! The computer would see our win as a fluke!

They were seeded ahead of us in the Big Ten tournament and they were also ranked ahead of us in the polls (OSU was #5 and #3 in the two polls, while we were #8 in both).

Actually...Ohio State has a VERY tough opening match against Loyola...could see an upset...
