Take your pick from the upset of No. 1 ND at their house. Maybe even the play Ismail got hurt on, since it changed the complexion of the game. Otherwise, the interception that set up Fayak would be my answer.
Fayak's game winning kick to beat #1 Notre Dame at South Bend. I was at that game and it is one of the most memorable in my life.
Yeah that game had plenty to choose from. The Donofrio interception. Sayles juggling act and the Sacca to Golden throwback to the tight end was just deceptive then powerful. Golden shrugged off the resistance very easily as he bulldozed into the end zone. I guess the Perry interception would be my choice.
You guys hit the big ones at ND. How bout Shelly Hammonds looking like Gale Sayers at BC? A couple of incredible broken-field runs. The DL destroyed Bama that year too. Down in Tuscaloosa.
Yeah, y'all kinda got some payback in 1990 for that blocked field goal the previous year at Beaver.
That 1990 game was the last of a 10 year series. Some awesome games during that time.
A lot of great defensive players from both schools in that era. Derrick Thomas and Cornelius Bennett destroyed us. Shane Conlan actually covered your slot wr. I believe his name was Bell.
My wife remembers that well. I almost broke her ribs hugging her in excitement. And we were not married yet. Fortunately, she forgave me....
