2017 - 2018 Redshirts and Recruits

How do you see the incoming recruits fitting into the Lineup next year. Obviously we will see Hall 174 and i think we will see Lee fill in for Jimmy at 141. Do you think any others could crack the lineup?

Also are there any new rumors about potential recruits. Would love to see Gable Stevenson commit to PSU. And i think that Seth Nevills will play football.

Best case Penn State, 37 - 5 Penn State
Best Case Iowa, 18 - 17 Iowa
Most probable, 24 - 14 Penn State

I think you probably hit the nail on the head. I'm not sure we'll have anyone better for 141 than Nick Lee, and Hall obviously goes in at 174.

I think Nick Lee goes at 141 and I think he's going to do very well. He's been training at the NLWC for a long time now and by the time next season rolls around he will have been in that room training with this team about a year and a half. This is like a mini RS year for him. I believe he can AA next season and make a nice run at nationals.

Mark Hall will compete and win a title at 174lbs next year. I don't have any doubts about that. I think he's at least a top 3 guy this year if he wrestled.

Regardless of what happens, Penn State's team next year scares the heck out of me in terms of a competitive team race. The only team that really has a shot at posing a threat next year is probably Ohio State.

This has been stated often by those that have taken time to look ahead. I agree...but there's lots that can happen...including injuries. Let's hope none of that derails the dreams of these kids.

I just saw that Luke Stout is the Allegheny County Champion. He is from Mount Lebo so i assume that he is Kellens brother or relative. Is he on Penn States radar or is he good? Does anyone know anything about him?

He's a freshman and having a very good year so far -- heading into the weekend was 16-2, with the losses to Verkleeren (5-2) and Nijenhuis (12-2). He's at AAA 152. Don't know if he'll make it to Hershey or not, because he's in the same regional as Cam Coy, Zach Hartman, and Nijenhuis ... but either way a good FR year.

Last year he finished 2nd at PJWs, 140 lb.
