most any team can claim they would have been better if they never lost a player. Clemson would not have lost to Cuse if their QB had not been hurt. however, i think we would be in the playoff and unbeaten if we never lost these players:

Reid - best cover CB
Brown - key big DE for run and pass rush
Bucholtz - our only large DE for run and pass rush
Bowen - we are not deep at LB and nobody close to him in skill on run/pass - huge drop-off
Bates - best OL by a mile and we lack actual tackles on OL

All are important, but I’m not sure you need to go further than Bates and Bucholtz........Believe we would have won both of the games we lost, had they not been injured.

Fact is The OL was not tearing it up with Bates in the line up. He is the best OL on this OL.....? Did having Bates in there allow for a consistent running game? And the whining.... about sanctions.... is getting Old. The unimaginable 8 minute kill the clock stunt in the OSU game is why this team is where it is today.....

we dont have an OL and style to grind the clock on any team.

Yes we had a consistent run game with Bates.

The Bates effect in Columbus for Saquon:
With Bates: 11 carries for 58 yards and a TD. 4 rushing FDs.

After Bates' injury: 10 carries for -14 yards and not a singe rushing FD.

Yes. The OL had just come off its best game of the year against UM and was starting to look like it might become a pretty good unit.

I did not catch the entire comment but a talking head commented that Barkley would not dress for the game today. Anybody else hear anything?

You are free of course to pretend the sanctions never happened, or that depth has been fully restored across the board just like Lubert and the rest of the bot trying to pat themselves on the back try to do. You're even free to pretend that pointing out the obvious is merely whining. It doesn't necessarily make it so, but it's your prerogative.

Nope he will dress. I have no doubts . He isn’t some SEC rb who cares nothing but their NFL hopes. Barkley is selfless and team player.
