Will be going to the Thursday and Friday rounds. Anyone ever drive to the course daily from the Atlanta area? Just wondering what I can expect traffic wise and if anyone has any tips to make the daily drive as easy as possible.

If you want some accurate advice you should post your starting point. Atlanta traffic is a mess. You might have more problems getting out of Atlanta than getting into Augusta.

I am staying just outside of Greensboro, GA so city traffic should be no issue.

Parkland Fan is exactly right......getting east of Atlanta is your issue and then no traffic until 5-10 miles west of Augusta.

The people that run the Masters make things run about as smoothly as a big event can run. They really make it easy for the fans.....er I mean patrons.

I was able to make it down a few years ago and we stayed in Columbia, South Carolina. It was an easy 1 hour drive and we got off the Interstate and went right into the parking lot with very little wait.

I was able to make it down a few years ago and we stayed in Columbia, South Carolina. It was an easy 1 hour drive and we got off the Interstate and went right into the parking lot with very little wait.

I stayed in Columbia last time I went and it was a very easy drive. Unfortunately, flights were much more expensive to Columbia/Charlotte so this was about the only option I had.
