no way would it be wise to move a young third baseman that really came on last year to a new position and risk getting him out of that comfort zone.
There in lies the issue. All of those guys squeaked in due to political lobbying. That mainly happened via the Veteran’s Committee (I think that’s the name). Baines is the most recent and really raised some eyebrows. I don’t know that the Phillies have that kind of political clout, but neither makes it in via the regular vote.
