I just watched this match. Awesome. After an early TD by Fig, Cruz was the aggressor the rest of the match and scored a last second TD to win it. Cruz looked amazing.

After 2019 states, he said he was looking at PSU, Iowa, Ohio State, and his hometown Fresno State. As far as I know, he hasn't publicly updated that, but Fresno is now out of the picture. Supposedly OKST is working their way into the picture. Realistically, he'll have no shortage of suitors.

With the consequences of Covid, it might be best to not sign a LOI. With this being a free season eligibility wise and possible transfers, who knows what rosters are going to look like over the next few years. The path to starting could get a lot more difficult. Throw in gray shirting possibilities, it is probably prudent to wait to sing the LOI and see what happens. If you don't sign it, you can still attend PSU or go to another school without penalty or release being required. If you sign the LOI and then want to go somewhere else for whatever reason, it requires a release to do so.

If you do this though don't you run a risk of angering your future coaching staff or causing them to pull money, look for someone else at your weight, etc? I admittedly don't fully how it works but if a recruit is wavering on their commitment I have to think the coaches won't like it too much and may rethink their commitment to you.
Coaches are going to go after the best kid for their needs, if that kid wavers cant hold it against a coach to move on to the next. Especially if u have 2-3 kids at the weight range who are close in their opinion.
