2022-23 Other Team Schedules...

Any way we could swab out Iowa for Iowa State? That would be a fun switch.

Penn's schedule released yesterday. We're not on it. Article implies we're also not going to Keystone Classic.

The problem is that Zeke’s duck of Kerk last year worked perfectly for him when it came to seeding. System needs to change, but we knew that already.
With hindsight: not necessarily.

If he had beaten Kerk (and he did in 2021), then no change.

If Kerk had won, it's not clear that a 1-loss Schultz who beat Wood in the dual, would've dropped below both Cass and Kerk. Schultz as 3 seed would've been the same result at nationals.

Should also note: Schultz ducked both Kerk and Parris. If he had lost both, we might have had Schultz, Cass, Kerk, and Parris all on the bottom half of the bracket.

Well, I guess the point is that if Kerk beat him last December, Schultz would have been seeded below Kerk. Whether results would have been different is speculative.

That's much more speculative than the results being the same.

Losing to Kerk might not have dropped Schultz below the 2 seed. Dropping below both Cass and Kerk is even more extrapolation.

What we do know is that if Schultz had been the 3 seed, then he would've gotten Wood in the quarters and Parris in the semis, instead of vice-versa.

No comment re Cass, but if Kerk beats Schultz heads up, it’s not speculative to say Kerk would be seeded ahead of Schultz. At least if there’s any justice at all.
Most importantly, Zeke successfully manipulated a system that encourages ducking and his guy was rewarded for that lame behavior. The system needs to change.

To add insult to injury, Kerk got a broken nose out of the duck.

Speaking of which… nice finish to a career for 2x AA Jordan Wood from Boyertown.
