A rebuild year? Granted, not as good as last year's team, or the one prior. When next year's is not as good as this one, does that equate to a trend. Or still a rebuild.
I don't see how he's a top 4 seed, but who knows until ACCs and B12s are done.
BTW, Beard lost to Cardenas in the EIWA finals.
He's big 10 champ. I say he gets at least the 4 seed.

Allred has the length and strength that are always a difficult match up for Max, who is a small 197. I'm not counting out Max in a rematch at Natties.

It's more about his offense or lack thereof. He has always been gettable from neutral, but he used to be a lot more aggressive. He was out-shot about 7 - 2 in that match and looked sluggish. I have a lot of confidence we will see a better version in 2 weeks

Cardenas was 16th in the last coaches' poll, is 30th in RPI, and has a lower Win % than Dean, so Dean probably stays ahead of him.

- Parris hit with a second stalling and it's tied, going to SV.
- Kerk with a double attempt, Parris stops it, looking to go behind, but drives through for two. Parris wins 5-3.
Kerk cannot shoot straight on against Parris. That needs to change or he is not winning against him.

Man Kerk gassed in that one. Just couldn't get to a good shot. And had nothing at the end.
I'm almost glad Parris won that. He was better tonight plain and simple.

Welp, Kerk figured out Cass this year ... and Parris figured him out (though obviously Parris was hindered last year also) Need a new game plan as people said, straight on shots vs Parris won't work.
That was a pathetic effort. There's no way around it. Half hearted shots, and no fire.
I don’t think either wrestler knew it was tied. Kerk was taking late desperation shots that didn’t help his energy level for SV.
He looked that way during the dual. I even commented he didn't look right and thought he might be sick. Wrong!
