2024 Olympic Trials match and discussion thread

Wow, Dieringer took the air out of my lungs with that first 4 point move and I have to admit that I was concerned, but Brooks was near perfect from that point forward, well done.
I guarantee, it will be Aaron vs the Magic Man.

Newbie here…do Lee/Retherford and Gilman/Lee wrestle yet tonight or is that now the best of 3 finals for tomorrow?

Same question…do Nolf/Burroughs and Brooks/Valencia wrestle yet tonight?

Who is the boring guy with the raspy voice doing the "color" commentary on the USA broadcast? I just caught the tail end of the opening saying he was a decorated wrestler but didn't catch his name. Not impressed. Way too low key. I didn't want a repeat of the NCAA final debacle of JB and Cormier (each trying to prove who was more tough and manly), but this guy is boring! Also dislike the smattering of Greco in the broadcast. That's doing nothing to grow the sport and add new fans. If those guys would try a few throws and do something more than just pushing each other, maybe, but haven't seen a good Greco match tonight.

Jason 3-0 final.

Jason earned it. He did almost all the attacking in the match. And when Burroughs needed to score, Jason limited him to pushout attempts.

Big difference vs. the Mesenbrink match: Jason worked Burroughs' head hard -- Matt Brown would've been proud of that. Burroughs couldn't get lower or get into position to attack or counter.
