I appreciate that!! Its truly an honor to think that made the POTY contest. As for me, I voted for the one about the Civil War veteran.

My intentions in posting that was to let people know that JVP was SO much more than a football coach.

Most on here know Joe was much more than a football, but I love your story. I have told more than a dozen people the story you wrote and I cannot get through telling it without being moved to tears.

Full disclosure: The flood of emotions that came back to me as I was writing that brought me to tears as well. Over the years, I've probably shared that story with people other than my family MAYBE 10 times. I almost didnt share it here. My old buddy Pitteefull talked me into it.
