As I have indicated previously, my wife and I have inherited an ‘08 S2000 with only 7,100miles. My question is: is it really necessary to replace the tires after 10 yrs?
Definitely!!! I sold tires for 5 years. Dry rot plus they will probably have flat spots also.

Yes - do not eff around with old tires... With a gem like that - good performance tires will be a $750 investment that will pay tremendous dividends... enjoy that little screamer !

I don't recall the exact numbers, but if you were doing a 0-60 run in a S2000 and shifted at 7000 rpm the time would be around 10 seconds! If you shifted the 9000 redline you could get to 60 in about 6 seconds.... 240 hp and about 15 lb ft of torque or was that 150 lb ft?

Enjoy your s2k and definitely put new tires on her. I had a 2003 and sold it in 2013, the most fun car I ever owned. Was like driving a go cart on the streets. They were great track cars for their time. I modified mine and was putting out 375 to the wheels ... so much fun. Loved the engine and how you needed to keep the revs up to stay in the power band. When it first came out the engine produced the most horsepower per liter for any normally aspirated car.

In hindsight wish I had never parted with it.
