We can’t run the ball to close it out
If you are asking me, we have a really good team that can play with anyone in college football. We've got a weakness in putting games away without blowing them off the field. When we have to make a first down or two using a low risk offense, we can't do it. This means we have a run game that is established by our passing game. When our passing game is marginalized, we cannot sustain using our rushing game.so what do you conclude from this?
Or can’t throw the ball to close it out!
We can’t run the ball to close it out
Meh! What's the point? Time for this week !i think everyone knows that stat , but it hadnt truly hit me that in those 3 games we have been outscored 42-3 in the 4th quarter ....
Exactly PSU did not play to win, just tried to run the clock out, (need to keep the peddle down and finish) and lost all three hope the coaching staff learns from those three. We scored 108 points in the first three quarters of those games. In very simplistic terms, it would appear that we tried to run out the clock in all three games, and it backfired.
