"Franklin said three of his assistants were reached out to about different head coaching opportunities. Franklin didn’t specify who was approached."

Nothing new there. Talented, successful guys are always in demand. If they move on to promotions elsewhere, that means we're winning big.

There is going to be turnover, no two ways about it. Just have to have faith that CJF can bring in top-notch replacements. Thus far his replacements have all struck gold. We have the cash and we're riding high. No reason to think Grade-A guys would not be tripping over themselves to come to State College.

If other schools think your coaches are bums and nobody wants them, THEN is the time to get worried.

Coaches, like other recruits have many reasons to stay or go elsewhere. Some want more responsibility and an opportunity to run a program. Some want stability for their kids and may not be as interested in quickly moving from school to school. The BIG bucks are not always best.

Get used to it. Winning breeds success at all levels. You have to recruit your own coaches each year. At some point they a going to leave if they feel the right opportunity comes along and you can only wish them well.

J-Mo, Pry and Limegrover would be my guess (i.e., Limegrover has OC experience from Minny - can't see anybody being interested in a HC Offer without at least some Coordinator experience on the resume). BTW, how relieved do you think Limegrover is that he is no longer at Minny???

Moorhead, we know about.

Pry has already turned down D-2 jobs in the past, most notably Georgia State.

Smith seemingly was on Temple's radar.

Well said,

It's sort of like players leaving early for the NFL, sucks when it happens but is also the sign (usually) of a very healthy program and is good for recruiting when a kid can picture himself in the NFL in three years by going to your powerhouse program.

I know we'll probably lose some guys from our current staff, but hopefully we'll get back to the level of stability among our football assistant coaches that Penn State has been spoiled with since 1936. Sure, we've lost guys from time to time obviously, but the amount of turnover has been minimal, with the exception of 2000-2004 and 2011-2015, during those two five-year spans we had turnover among EVERY coaching position (except HC from 2000-04) and our record during those ten seasons was 64-58.

Take those ten seasons away, and PSU's winning % has been among the top three in the nation (since 1936) and much of that is due to our relative lack of turnover among our coaching staff (IMHO).
